However, in recent years environmentalists have considered cremation to be environmentally un-friendly for two reasons, one of which was the urn.

Many environmental opponents to cremation have sited that the traditional funeral urn is made of materials that are harmful to nature. These opponents have stated that the materials used to construct traditional urns may potentially cause pollution to our environment. Burial by Land

Many individuals wishing to be cremated also wish to be buried in a cemetery or other memorial garden. And, while an urn is certainly not necessary for such burials, it is a nice way to keep the ashes together and prevent un-intended scattering. Travel-Friendly

The general rule of thumb is to allow one cubic inch for every pound that your loved one weighed prior to his or her passing. With that being said, it is important to note that our urns for cremation are suitable for single usage and are not recommended to be used as companion urns.
