Industry standard for choosing an urn size is to allow one cubic inch of space for each one pound of weight the deceased last weighed.

For Example:

A child or pet who weighed 40 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 40 cubic inches or more.
An adult who weighed 240 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 240 cubic inches or more.

The urn measures 10¾” high and is 228 cubic inches, on the base there is a soft felt lining designed to offer protection to the furniture the urn will be standing on. Encircling the urn approximately three quarters of the way up from the base are three lines in black, these lines are the only extra addition to this beautifully smooth and polished cremation urn.

There is another optional addition depending on personal choice and that is in the form of a medallion name plate on a chain, the name plate offers the chance to add a personal touch to the urn. A message can be added if preferred or simply a name and dates, the top line will accommodate a maximum of twenty characters in large case whilst the bottom line will take thirty three characters in a smaller case.

The plate is available in a choice of finishes which are brushed brass, burnt bronze, polished brass, brushed pewter and polished pewter; each individual finish contrasts and also compliments the brass urn.

Measuring 3 - 1/5” x 1¼” the name plate is big enough to be noticed but also petite enough to not be imposing, the concept is to simply add your own personal touch to the urn which holds a sentimental meaning to you. The whole design from the actual urn to the name plate is based on being simple but it really does work.
