Industry standard for choosing an urn size is to allow one cubic inch of space for each one pound of weight the deceased last weighed.

For Example:

A child or pet who weighed 40 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 40 cubic inches or more.
An adult who weighed 240 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 240 cubic inches or more.

The top loading Dignity Pewter Cremation Urn measures 10” in height and is 228 cubic inches, it is a beautiful single urn.

This piece is produced from brushed brass with a pewter finish which is superbly smooth and wonderfully shiny. Black decorative borders have been added to work with the silver pewter color.

There are three borders in total, two on the main section of the urn and one on the lid. The main borders are located at the top and the bottom of the urn’s body and consist of a delightful row of fancy leaves. Along the top and bottom edge of each individual border there is a thin, double lined margin. Inside these margins sit the rows of leaves. The leaves themselves are beautifully fan shaped with five black lines representing the veins seen in a leaf.

A background of black and silver displays the silver leaves brilliantly, the background almost looks like a mesh material as it consists of numerous tiny diamond shaped pieces.

The border on the urn’s lid sits on the outer edge and is the same design as the other two borders, the inside section of the lid is simply plain silver. This is a traditionally shaped urn and does not attempt to disguise its purpose at all but it is exceptionally tastefully decorated and has an elegance surrounding it. The urn makes a lovely memorial and a touching tribute to a loved one and would look simply stunning adorning any furniture.
