Industry standard for choosing an urn size is to allow one cubic inch of space for each one pound of weight the deceased last weighed.

For Example:

A child or pet who weighed 40 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 40 cubic inches or more.
An adult who weighed 240 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 240 cubic inches or more.

Produced from a beautiful hand cut art glass the Ebony Classica Glass Urn is a truly striking cremation urn. Standing 10½” tall and with a volume of 212 cubic inches the urn has been trimmed with a genuine brass and given a glorious silver finish. There is also a keepsake urn which matches the main cremation urn.

The base is plain silver with a polished finish which adds a beautiful reflective touch to the whole piece. The actual body of the urn is mirrored in the base, and the lid has also been left plain while the urn’s main section has been elegantly decorated. At the bottom of the design there is an exquisite shape with a centerpiece and eight short lines coming off the center. The lines could be construed as the petals of a delicate flower or the rays of light emitting from a wonderful sun, they could also be observed as the points of a fancy star.

Sitting above this is an elaborate and exquisite design of beautiful swirling and curving lines, they make their journey up from the base of the urn, where they begin as single relatively straight lines, and continue on to the top of the urn. Towards the top the lines become more curved and develop into a delightful diamond shaped pattern.

One lovely feature of this particular urn is the soft edge seen in the design as it almost seems to melt into the piece and truly become part of it. There are no other colors used on the design and this is how the appearance of softness has been achieved because there are no major color differences, just a simple design which has blended in with the cremation urn itself.
