Industry standard for choosing an urn size is to allow one cubic inch of space for each one pound of weight the deceased last weighed.

For Example:

A child or pet who weighed 40 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 40 cubic inches or more.
An adult who weighed 240 lbs before cremation would require an urn which held 240 cubic inches or more.

Produced in brass and with a beautiful nickel finish the Flower Heart Cremation Keepsake Urn measures 2¾” x 2¾” x 1½” with a volume of 4 cubic inches. The keepsake has a screw type opening on the base and comes complete with a gift box.

Keepsakes can accommodate a variety of different items including a loved one’s cremains, which are best added via a small funnel, some crushed dried flowers or a lock of hair. The purpose of the smaller cremation urns is to offer a memory if perhaps the loved one’s cremains have mainly been scattered. Another reason could be that other family members would also like to feel close to the dearly departed person by having a small keepsake urn too.

The design on the front of the keepsake is truly beautiful; there is a single flower in black sitting in the middle with four delicate petals. Each flower is positioned on a stem with four leaves and this stem runs vertically through the center of the heart. The background consists of lots of diamond shaped criss-crosses in black. In the center of the diamonds there is an individual, single triangular shape which is also penned in black.

The combination of the flower and the heart shape of the urn match beautifully and maintain a general atmosphere of love and romance to the piece. This keepsake urn has a very simplistic appearance but it is this that adds to its charm and pure beauty, it is both simple and striking at the same time.
